In honor of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to do a little round-up of what I consider to be the best TV couples of all time. Even though this romances are fictional, the love stories are inspiring, crazy, strong, and sometimes relatable. Let’s take a look at the 10 couples that made the list.
10. Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl)
If there’s a couple that was meant to be together that’s Chuck and Blair. They may not have been the kindest people on the Upper East Side, but they deserved each other. Together they were able to bring out the best of themselves-passionate, loyal, strong and successful- but also their worst-sneaky, conniving, scheming and controlling. It took a lot of hardships for them to end together but I think that kind of love is worth fighting for.
9. Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore (The Vampire Diaries)
I personally wasn’t a big fan of Elena but her love story with Damon was one of my favourites from The Vampire Diaries. This two were meant to be together from the start. The sacrifices they both made for each other when life punched them over and over again and the way they both stood by each other in the worst of times is sign of the strong, passionate and pure love they had. Talk about soulmates.
8. Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore (Gilmore Girls)
They both had to kiss some frogs before ending together but all those terrible and not meant to be relationships (I’m looking at you Jason) were only preparing them for the most amazing kind of love. Luke was grumpy, old fashioned, sweet and understanding and Lorelai was witty, independent and charming. Through their ups and downs they were able to slowly build a strong, loyal and perfect romance.
7. Caleb Rivers and Hanna Marin (Pretty Little Liars)
I’m Team Haleb all the way. Caleb is Rosewood’s most perfect boyfriend. He’s sweet, protective, noble, smart and selfless. He did everything to protect Hanna and the Liars even if it meant breaking the law and putting himself in danger. Hanna is my favourite liar. Her bold and outspoken character, her funny remarks and her loyalty are what make her unique. They made each other strong and that’s why they were able to survive years of torture from A. This love story is pure and perfect.
6. Jake Peralta and Amy Santiago (Brooklyn Nine Nine)
This two are proof that everyone has that special someone out there waiting for them. They’re both dorky, quirky, nerdy. With a relationship based on loving and accepting your partner for who they are, these detectives are one of the sweetest and most lovable couples ever.
5. Emily and Richard Gilmore (Gilmore Girls)
Yes, you read that right. Emily and Richard not Rory and Jess/Logan. I love the Gilmore seniors. Yes, they weren’t the best parents -usually strict and superficial- but their relationship was one of the sweetest and purest kinds of love. Even though they weren’t mushy and lovey-dovey they were the perfect couple. Strong, determined, accepting, and able to make fun of each other. No wonder why this marriage lasted forever.
4. Bow and Dre Johnson (Black-ish)
Parents of five amazing kids, successful professionals, cool dressers, Bow and Dre have it all. They support and understand each other so beautifully. They usually argue about silly things in a funny way but they can always count on one another for unconditional love and encouragement.
3. Cameron Tucker and Mitchell Pritchett (Modern Family)
This two melt my heart every time. They have a dramatic, over the top marriage and know each other so well. Yes, they bicker and compete with each other but they always work their problems out. Even though they try too hard and are embarrassing at times, they are devoted to their family and complete each other in every way imaginable.
2. Jack and Rebecca Pearson (This is Us)
America’s sweetest couple. The most perfect form of love ever. They show us everything one could ever wish for in a significant other. Best friends and lovers, they worked hard and fought to make the relationship work. They never gave up on each other and had a love that will prevail forever.
1. Beth and Randall Pearson (This is Us)
These two have the best chemistry of any couple. They’re both witty, smart, funny, sexy and overall perfect. They love each other deeply. Nothing comes first to Randall and Beth than their family. They support each other unconditionally, build each other up by believing and encouraging their dreams, while keeping it real and expressing their thoughts and feelings openly and honestly.
There you have it guys, my favourite TV couples ever. Let me know what you think of the selection. Write down in the comments below, what are some of your favourite TV couples and why. Don’t forget to share this post if you like it. Thank you so much for reading it.
