It's Friday and you know what that means: another roundup of my weekly favourites. So if you're looking for some inspiration for the weekend on what music to listen, what Netflix shows or movies to binge, what things to buy to make your life prettier. or who to stalk on social media, then you've come to the right place. So without further ado, here are this week's Friday Favourites.
Dear God by Hunter Hayes
Hunter Hayes has been one of my favourite artists since his debut album came out in 2011. Some people are quick to dismiss country music because they have a stereotype about what it really is about. I love country music and there are a myriad of talented singers and songwriters. Which is the case of Hayes, who has proven once again how talented he is in portraying his feelings and experiences and making the most beautiful songs, both lyrically and musically.
Dear God is an open letter in which he questions God's plan in his life when hurtful and disheartening things happen to him. By the end of the song he is able to recognize that life is not exempt of hardships and sufferings and that once in a while he needs to be reminded that God is there and won't leave him alone to fight his demons.
Better with You by Jesse McCartney
Even though this song was released in April, I just found out about it three days ago. I didn't know Jesse McCartney was back, and yes, my thirteen year old self is elated with his return. Maybe he released some songs after his album In Technicolor, I'm not sure. But what's important here is that he made a beautiful song.
In a time where the political environment has caused so much division and after so many heartbreaking tragedies happening all around the world, this song serves as inspiration to keep fighting and believing. Even though he is singing about finding someone who makes life better just by being there with them, this someone doesn't necessarily need to be a romantic partner. Maybe if we all had more sympathy and connection with others and what they are going through, we could make their day a little better. It's important to show kindness, empathy and tolerance. The world really needs it.
I just saw the most beautiful trainers and I thought you guys would really love them. They are a from the Rifle Paper Co Fall 2018 Keds Collection.

They are all so gorgeous and totally my style. My two favourite designs are:
EMBROIDERED HERB GARDEN
ROSE MEADOW LACES
August is almost over, which means a new season is about to start. I always use the beginning of a season to plan my life and write down all the goals, dreams and projects I want to accomplish. It's something I look forward too, and to help me stay on track I like buying myself the cutest stationery.
I found this beautiful notebook set from Rifle Paper Co. that is perfect for Autumn. It's called the Birch notebook and comes in a set of two with 64 unlined pages and metallic gold foil accents.
To All the Boys I've Loved Before
I graduated from high school a long time ago, but in my opinion you're never too old to watch a romantic high school movie. Okay maybe there comes an age where you are, but I'm still in my 20's so I can get away with it.
If you're into the type of films where every one is gorgeous and all the actors are talented and the story-line is full of emotions, laughter, sadness, love, friendship and family then I'm 100% sure you'll enjoy this film and probably watch it multiple times.
