Happy Blogtober Day 11. I hope you're all having a wonderful week. We are so close to the weekend and also can you believe it's almost half way through the month? Before you know it, we'll be opening Christmas presents.
For today's post, I'm sharing a list of my personal favourite shows on Netflix that are perfect to binge watch during a cold Autumnal weekend. Grab a cozy blanket, put on you comfiest pajamas, make yourself a delicious cup of tea and take a look at my list of Netflix shows to binge watch this season.
The Best Netflix Shows to Binge Watch this Autumn
This Netflix-original drama chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940's to modern times. It focuses on the political life of the United Kingdom, as well as Her Majesty's personal life, her reign and the events that shaped the second half of the 20th century.
This show is as close as will ever get to being an insider into the Royal Family and get a glimpse into all the secrets, luxuries and affairs of the House of Windsor.
This has got to be my favourite show of all time. I watch over it and over again, and I never get tired of it. It's funny, it's dramatic, it's magical.
Lorelai and Rory have one of the best mother/daughter relationships and I love how all the town is involved in each other's life. A simple life in a charming town couldn't have been more perfect, if it wasn't thanks to the magic created by Amy Sherman-Palladino. I only wish I could live in a place like Stars Hollow.
I know this isn't a Netflix show. But it was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino as well. I honestly beg of you to watch it. It's one of the best series I've ever seen. I don't even know where to begin. It's perfectly done: the script, the story, the ambiance, the acting, the music.
Set during the late 1950's, Miriam Maisel has everything she has ever wanted, until her seemingly idyllic life takes a surprising turn. Her struggles reveal a hidden talent she didn't previously know she had and that will change her life forever.
A perfect show to binge watch during Halloween, Shadow Hunters focuses on the life of Clary Fray who on her birthday discovers she is a human-angel hybrid, whose mission is to fight to protect their world by hunting down demons.
A whole array of mystic characters like warlocks, vampires, werewolves, and ominous threats at every turn, this show is mysterious, dark, full of fantasy, romance and a lot of kick-ass fights.
One of the funniest modern sitcoms I've ever seen, featuring Andy Samberg, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is not your typical cop show. It's about all the normal things that happen at the workplace, and the crazy things that happen at the work place. Centered mostly around Detective Jake Peralta and the drastic change in the precinct when the new captain, Raymond Holt, is appointed.
You'll love every single character, even the criminals. The jokes, the silliness, the drama, the romance... this show has everything, even a cute corgi dog. <Noice!>
I put this show in the list solely because I've never seen it and I've heard so many good things about it. I only got a glimpse of it when there was a crossover on a few episodes of How to Get Away with Murder. And I was so impressed by the character that it made me want to watch it. All I know is that the show is about a former White House Communications Director who starts her own crisis management firm only to realize that her clients are not the only ones with secrets.
This show is out of this world. Viola Davis is one of the best actresses ever and her character Annalise Keating is such a bad-ass, The show is a legal drama centered around Professor Keating and five of her students who become entwined in a murder plot. The show is full of twists, deaths, mysteries, steamy relationships, complicated relationships, missing people, murders and a lot of secrets and lies.
Another show I haven't seen but that I think is perfect to get into the Halloween spirit. Bates Motel is psychological horror drama inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. It tells the story before the movie, focusing on the formative years of Norman Bates and how his complicated bond with his mother forged a serial killer.
This show changed my life. The Fab 5 travel to Atlanta in hopes of transforming the life of people who are in desperate need of a lifestyle makeover. Featuring food & wine specialist Antoni Porowski, interior designer Bobby Berk, grooming consultant Jonathan Van Ness, fashion designer Tan France and culture expert Karamo Brown, this reality series will touch your heart and give you a different understanding on the invisible struggles some people face. The Fab 5 not only transform the outside but most importantly they change and better the inside. Prepare to shed a lot of tears and learn how to French Tuck.
The golden sitcom of all time. This show never gets old. I've lost count of how many times I've watched all the episodes. Will Smith is a legend and this show is where it all started. There's no need for me to say much about it other than go watch it and when you finish it, start it all over again.
This BBC drama series is centered around Dr. Gemma Foster, who suspects that her husband is having an affair. After she follows several lines of enquiry, far more in her life unravels, including a streak of violence below the surface.
