End of Year Goal-Setting Challenge

Happy Sunday to everyone. I was looking at the calendar and realized that there are only 72 days left until the end of the year. This inspired me to go over my to do lists and planners and see what things were in need of more attention.

I'll be honest with you, I don't make new year's resolutions. I mean, I write a quick list of whatever comes to mind, but I don't go into full planning mode. I personally don't like the pressure and expectations associated with January 1st.

So this year, I decided to start my goal-setting a bit early. This gives me time to actually come up with a list of real goals I want to accomplish and figure out the steps to achieve them.

My planning style is very flexible, given that my personality doesn't align to a set plan or schedule. I like to keep a gap of possibilities and adjust things as my days fall into place. But I do believe it's important to have a frame established in order to know what areas of my life I want to improve and what new challenges I want to experience.

This inspired me to create this end of year goal-setting challenge. It is a simple challenge that encompasses what I consider the most important areas of my life that I want to improve: health & fitness, business, home, finances, personal development, spirituality and leisure.

I designed a goal setting workbook to aide in the planning process and help narrow down and prioritize my goals. After filling the workbook this are the goals I decided upon.

Challenge Rules

1. Narrow down five to seven areas of your life that you consider to be the most important.

2. For each area write down a brief summary on why it matters to you and its current situation.

3. Set aside time to brainstorm goals for each area.

4. Go over your list of goals and select the 5 that are the most important.

5. Fill in the workbook and print your goals to keep a visual reminder.

Health and Fitness

The past years my health has been my biggest area of focus. I have an autoimmune disease that has taken a toll on my life. So, my main area of focus to work on my goals is my health. If I can get into remission I will get my life back and be strong enough to tackle on all the other life areas.

My main goals are:

1. Go into remission from Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.

2. Detox my liver and heal the damage in my organs.

3. Be more consistent with my dental health.

4. Get my eyesight checked and find options to treat Lattice Degeneration before it gets complicated and progresses to retinal detachment.

5. Be more consistent with my workouts and find an enjoyable and sustainable routine

My blog will turn one year on December 21st. I'm really happy with my blogging journey so far and I'm really excited to continue growing and reaching more important milestones. I'm also starting a new business this November, so that's another dream coming true.

My main goals are:

1. Create more meaningful and high-quality content for my blog.

2. Grow my engagement and reach.

3. Start taking my own photographs for my blog and brand.

4. Be featured on other blog and online sites.

5. Launch my business on November 2018.

My home is my peaceful sanctuary and it's the happiest place on Earth for me and my dog. My main focus is to keep it peaceful and beautiful.

My main goals are:

1. Remodel the primary bathroom.

2. Build my kitchen pantry.

3. Repaint the whole house (interior and exterior)

4. Start my own crop garden.

5. Reorganize my whole house and get rid of clutter & mess.

Finances are extremely important and as a young women I need to start paying more attention to my future in terms of savings and investments.

My main goals are:

1. Increase the amount of money I save monthly.

2. Start investing money for long term high returns.

3. Have an emergency fund.

4. Plan for early retirement.

5. Create multiple income streams.

Personal Development

It is very important for me to be constantly improving myself and learning new things about my personality. I'm always eager to become more self-aware and set goals that will help me achieve my dreams and biggest potential.

My main goals are:

1. Set some time aside to check in with myself.

2. Start journaling.

3. Cultivate a morning and night routine.

4. Read more on a broader variety of subjects in order to challenge my mind.

5. Stop complaining so much about the current social and political climate.

Having a connection to something bigger than myself and finding a purpose and meaning to life is very important to me.

My main goals are:

1. Let go of my resentments and hatred towards people that have hurt me.

2. Be more present and aware of the blessings around me.

3. Speak words of love and encouragement to myself on a daily basis.

4. Meditate and be mindful.

5. Be a more kind and compassionate person.

Setting time aside to do things I love is as important as the other areas in life. Relaxing, traveling and having fun are all essential in finding a happy balance in life.

My main goals are:

1. Plan a long vacation around Europe.

2. Commit to learning a new artistic hobby.

3. Go to the theater more regularly.

4. Pamper myself more by going to the spa and getting beauty treatments.

5. Attend more concerts and musical events.

I really loved doing this little challenge. It was great to help put things into perspective and know what I need to do to accomplish my goals in the most important areas of my life.

I hope you guys take part on the challenge and set your end of year goals. The timeline in order to accomplish this is up to you and what's important is that you now have a framework and a vision of how you want your life to be.

I would love to know what are some of the goals you have, so let me know in the comments down below what you come up with.

Share this post so others can also participate in the challenge and set goals to achieve the best possible version of themselves.

Thank you so much for reading.

Until next time.
